Steph’s July 2025 Favorite: NOKA

Nōka- (noun): Farmer

“An ode to the Midwestern sensibility that fresh, local and seasonal ingredients transcend the dining experience, Noka was born out of a calling to pay homage to Chef + Owner Amante Domingo’s late father, a farmer himself who dedicated his life to sustainable practices that yielded 150 acres of organic farmland in St. Joseph, MO.” via Noka’s website.

JUST WOW.

My husband and I walked in thinking we were going to a different restaurant (hahaha) and we stayed for obvious reasons. The restaurant is gorgeous, moody perfection. The lighting and decor is on another level.

We tried a tiny bit of everything... the Nightmarket Chicken Wings were some of the best wings I have ever had. The CRUNCH is everything.

Meat, fish, veggies... everything cooked so well.

I enjoyed the experience of the Japanese Whisky Flight and the dirty martini (with wasabi blue cheese stuffed olives!) was delicious.

🍸🍸🍸

A few of these photos are when I went back again for my birthday dinner. 🥰 Who knew Tuesday was all day happy hour?!
